Thugs of Hindostan: A thuggery or success?

The 8th of November saw the release of the extremely anticipated movie ‘The Thugs of Hindostan’. This movie brought together huge stars of the Hindi film Industry and was somewhat supposed to be a film based on the blockbuster Hollywood movie series, ‘The Piraes of the Caribbean’.
The movie stars Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles.
The plot of the film is basically revenge based, where the king (Ronit Roy) is murdered by the British and his daughter, (Fatima Sana Sheikh) along with Amitabh Bachchan’ character have set out to avenge his demise.
Meanwhile Aamir Khan has been recruited by the British conspirators to put an end to this fight and kill Bachchan and Sheikh’s characters. How he succeeds or fails to do so tails the climax and important parts of the movie.
Katrina Kaif has been said to have no particular role but there just for the sake of being in the movie and for promotional purposes only.
This film has gotten a mixture of reviews but more negative than positive. Audiences were not very pleased with the plot and even called the movie illogical and nowhere near the legendary Pirates of the Caribbean standards.
IMDb has rated the movie a poor 6.3/10, and this has also said to have been Aamir Khan’s worst acting project of the decade.
