We all know Gippy Grewal for his superb singing, acting, and direction. This man always has something out of the box for his audience. Gippy changed the perspective of the audience with his debut directional film ‘Ardaas’ in 2016. He forced us to think about the reality of life. The film touched our hearts and soul by its meaning content and subject and changed the whole viewpoint of people in large numbers.

But have you ever thought who inspired or asked Gippy Grewal to make ‘Ardaas’? If that person has never asked him to do so then we would have never witnessed such a subject on the big screen. There is a saying, behind every successful man there is a woman. And this is true in the case of Gippy’s directional ‘Ardaas’.

And now we all are waiting for the sequel ‘Ardaas Karaan‘ which carries the same subject. And now, in an interview with a web portal, Gippy shared many things about his family.

He shared that his wife and kids do worship to god more than him. Gippy said his wife was the only one who forced him to make a film like ‘Ardaas’. His inspiration behind this cinema is his wife, ‘Ravneet Kaur’. He specially mentioned ‘Je Meri Wife Mainu Ardaas Banan Layi Na Kehndi Ta Mai Kadi Ardaas Na Bananda’. This actually means that she gave him the courage to make a film like that at that time when there were only comedy films were releasing.

This is very interesting how the artist’s family is involved in their decision making. They do get influenced by their opinions which is a good sign. I hope our Punjabi Industry always keeps on flourishing like this. Gippy Grewal is one of those artists who are bringing new subjects in Punjabi Cinema. And we wish he will take this league forward.
