Thanks to Kangana Ranaut for introducing us to the word “NEPOTISM”. The Manikarnika actress without any fear of backlash went on to records to say things against nepotism in Bollywood and quoting Karan Johar as the flag bearer of Nepotism in the latter’s own talk show. She is strong, bold, confident and there’s no doubt about it.
In a recent interview with mid-day, the actress very openly talked about her journey in the industry, negative PR around her, leaking her scenes of riding a mechanical bull for Manikarnika, the ‘young generation’ of Bollywood and much more. The actress also shared her experience of being on soft porn movie set which was offered to her by former CBFC chairman Pahlaj Nihalani. Read it here.
In the interview, an audience member asked her that 20 years down from now if her son wishes to direct a movie, would she make a call and help him? To this she replied,
“Well see. If I do that the possibility of him being a good director will become 50%. okay. If i really care for him and I am a really good mother I will let him find his own way because to make a good director, a good living toh he can make from anywhere but if I want him to make an extraordinary person, I ll throw him in the sea. Either he will drown or he will make it. That is what if I want to create an exceptional human being, an extraordinary being can only be created like that. I am sorry to break it to you.”
She further added,
“My brother is struggling to become a pilot from past 4 years. I can make a phone call and make that happen. But I would not. I never will”
Well, its good to see that she is strongly standing on her view points! Way to go girl!
On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Ekta Kapoor’s “Mental Hai Kya” opposite Rajkumar Rao. She is also working on a sports drama film “Panga” directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari which is scheduled to release in 2020. She will also start to work on Jayalalithaa’s biopic.
