This actor will romance Ayushmann Khurrana in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Ayushmann Khurrana, who has a knack for offbeat films, is all set to bring a gay love story. He will hit the big screen with this concept in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Ayushmann who will be playing the lead in the film will have Jitendra Kumar as his love interest.
Jitendra Kumar, who is a popular face on the web series circuit, is fresh off the success of TVF’s Kota Factory. He is popularly known as Jeetu Bhaiyya and owes his success to TVF’s sketches.
A source close to the story regarding this casting said, “The character is of a small town boy and the makers wanted to take an actor who can pull off the character with ease. The makers wanted a relatively fresh face and after doing the rounds of auditions, Jitendra fitted all the bills. Although he has not signed on the dotted line yet, he is the one.”
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is already making all the right noises with its announcement teaser focusing on the growth of love stories in India. And the familiarity with heterosexual relationships like Romeo-Juliet, Laila- Majnu, Mirza-Sahiba, Raj-Simran but highlights the complete absence of same-sex ones.

While talking about the same, Ayushmann, in a statement, said,

Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, the upcoming film is a standalone sequel to 2017 film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The much-awaited film is being produced by Aanand L Rai, who also backed the prequel. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan had received an overwhelming response from the audiences. And critics alike for the way it dealt with a subject like erectile dysfunction. The film, helmed by RS Prasanna, released on September 1, 2017, and also starred Bhumi Pednekar.
The sequel Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will release on Valentine’s Day 2020. It will clash with two films – Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan’s yet-untitled next film with Imtiaz Ali and Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer Malang.
Ayushmann is currently awaiting the release of Article 15. He will also star in Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan’s Bala, which has been caught in a plagiarism row.
