“The Accidental Prime Minister” trailer released; Congress asks for screening!

The trailer of the upcoming movie “The Accidental Prime Minister” dropped yesterday. It looks like a promising portrayal of the tenure of India’s former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh. It appears that political dramas are going to be the opening flavor of 2019 Bollywood.
The almost-three-minute trailer documents the life of Manmohan Singh and as the Prime Minister of India. Starring Anupam Kher in the lead role, as the ex PM of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, the movie is based on a memoir of the same name written by Sanjaya Baru. From his speech pattern to gestures, Anupam Kher absolutely nails the look as the ex-PM.
Akshaye Khanna plays the role of Sanjaya Baru, who was Manmohan Singh’s media adviser from the year 2004 to 2008.
The Accidental Prime Minister, inquires deep into the internal politics of the Congress party and how Manmohan Singh handled the situations. The trailer also features Aahana Kumra and Arjun Mathur playing the roles of Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi, in the film. You can’t deny their astonishing resemblance to the real-life characters. Suzanne Bernert, who plays the role of Sonia Gandhi, plays a pivotal role in the film.
