Summer hairstyle inspirations from the Bollywood and Pollywood Divas

Fried hair, limp hair, greasy scalp, and what not, summer brings with it numerous hair problems. Say hello to a good hair day every day with braids, buns, or ponytails. If the heat is bearable, a half-up, half-down style will also save your day! Scroll through this lookbook featuring your favorite Bollywood divas for hairstyle ideas.
Sport a no-nonsense top knot:
Sonam Bajwa and Sonakshi Sinha’s take on the trend is very modern and detailed.
Try this look:
1. Pull your hair into a high ponytail.
2. Divide the ponytail into two sections.
3. Wrap each section around each other.
4. Wrap your hair around the hair tie.
5. Pin the top knot in place.
Keep it simple and chic with a Ponytail:
Now that’s called “playing it smart”. Check out this sassy, yet simple hairstyle of Malaika Arora and she’s just rocking the whole look.
Sonam can rock any look. This is the most subtle hair look she has struck off so far.
Try this look:
- Blow dry your hair roots straight up.
- Do half of your ponytail instead of just throwing all your ponytail hair on top of your head.
- To complete the ponytail, brush the rest of your hair up and join it with your already-tied ponytail.
- Just hold the ponytail in place with one hand, stick the hook securely into the base of your hair, tightly wrap the bungee elastic around the base until you’ve reached the end of the cord, then hook in the other end to secure it.
Braid your Tresses:
Confused with what style you want to do with your long beautiful hair? Loosely braid it up as Janhvi Kapoor has done in this look of her’s.
Sunanda Sharma has rocked two looks in one! She wears ethnicity and comfort at the same time.
Try this look:
- Give yourself a deep side part, separating your hair in two. From there, separate each section in two again, leaving you with four sections of hair.
- Starting with the section on the far left, cross underneath the next section, then over the third section, then under the fourth section, as if you were basket weaving your hair.
- Secure the end of the braid with a clear elastic.
- Gently tug sections of the braid apart to loosen things up a bit, giving you the messy look. Don’t pull too hard — just enough to loosen the plait.
