Newbie Lakshya is the “suitable boy” for Dostana 2!

Karan Johar announced the sequel of the blockbuster film ‘Dostana‘ a while ago. The filmmaker already announced 2/3 of the star cast of the film. Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor were the two revealed characters and the third one was yet to be announced. And recently, the filmmaker decided to put an end to assumptions and the suspense. Karan finally announced the second “suitable boy” for the Dostana 2 named Lakshya.
The filmmaker took to his social media to announce the news by sharing some pictures of the newbie in Bollywood. He captioned,
Both happy and excited to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block! LAKSHYA will be making his debut with us in #DOSTANA2 and from thereon, we hope to start a solid cinematic journey together! Please welcome Lakshya and shower him with all your love and blessings…

After Karan Johar raised the curtain from the suspense, his followers asked whose son he is. And many of them identified Lakshya as the main lead of a TV daily soap ‘Porus‘. Few of the comments in his comment section read,
However, Lakshya has done many TV shows before getting the big break into Bollywood. And on the other hand, Lakshya also took to his social media account and captioned his post,

Earlier, Dostana released in 2008 and starred John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. John and Abhishek pretended to be gay in order to share an apartment with Priyanka Chopra, but eventually, both fell in love with her. Later, they discovered that the ‘Desi Girl’ was in love with her boss, Bobby Deol.
Dostana was directed by Tarun Mansukhani whereas the sequel will be directed by Collin D’Cunha. Collin D’Cunha has worked in films like- Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Sanju as an assistant director. And now, he is ready to make his full-fledged directorial debut with Dostana 2.
We can’t wait to see Lakshya in Dostana 2 as the actor is super talented! Also, we wish the new member of Dharma Movies all the best and hope that he kick starts his career very successfully!
