Manjinder Singh Sirsa appeals for tax exemption from the film Ardaas Karaan!

Released on 19 July, Ardaas Karaan is receiving immense love from people across the world. The audience is showering love, appreciation, and blessings to the whole team for making such a beautiful movie. Ardaas Karaan is released under Gippy Grewal’s home production house- Humble Motion Pictures. The film stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Gippy Grewal, Malkit Rauni, Rana Jung Bahadur, Hobby Dhaliwal, Sapna Pabbi, Meher Vij, Japji Khaira and Kuljinder Singh Sidhu.
‘Ardaas Karaan‘ is based on the concepts of positive living, living life to the fullest and belief in the power of prayer. Moreover, the film vividly shows the conflicts raised by generation gaps. And gives an important message to the viewers in a beautiful yet strong manner. However, it also conveys the message of respecting parents and living every moment of life with a positive outlook.

Considering the fact that the film portrays a beautiful social message and is must-watch, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief Manjinder Singh Sirsa has appealed to the I&B Minister Prakash Javedkar to exempt the entertainment tax on ‘Ardaas Karaan’ in India.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa took to his social media where he shows two letters. One marked to Prakash Javedkar and the other to Arvind Kejriwal. The letters request them to exempt the movie Ardaas Karaan from entertainment tax in India. Manjinder quoted, “Requesting Prakash Javadekar Ji and Arvind Kejriwal Ji for exempting the movie ‘ARDAAS KARAAN’ directed by Gippy Grewal from ENTERTAINMENT TAX in India and Delhi respectively as it conveys a beautiful and positive social message to the viewers and is particularly must-watch type movie for the young generation.”

However, the idea behind this is to increase the reach of the film so that the message reaches the maximum number of people.
