John Abraham looks promising in Batla House Trailer, get’s a “thumbs up” from B-town!

John Abraham is all set to showcase his patriotic side with his upcoming film Batla House. John Abraham has experimented with the genre in recent films such as ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, ‘Satyameva Jayate’ and ‘Parmanu’. Now he is on the verge of bringing real-life stories on the big screen.
On September 13, 2008, a series of bomb blasts in Delhi claimed over 26 lives and injured over 133 people. An operation was conducted on September 19 by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, who raided a flat in Batla House. Two alleged terrorists, Atif Amin, and Mohammad Sajid were shot dead by the police.
However, the encounter was termed as fake. Re-examining the infamous encounter case John will be seen essaying the character of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who spearheaded the operation.
About the Trailer:
The trailer shows a determined John Abraham holding his guard. As the investigating committee grilled him during several interrogations following the encounter. “They were students,” he said at one point but added: “I didn’t say they were innocent, I said they were students.”
The trailer also offers glimpses of how John Abraham doesn’t deviate from his version of the truth as he is faced with threats such as losing his job or even his loved ones. However, one scene features John Abraham being honored with the President’s Medal for his contribution to the Batla House encounter. One of the talked-about scenes from the trailer is when John Abraham, determined to do his duty to the country, crushes a mobile with his bare hand.

What is interesting to note is that it’s not only fans but even fellow celebrities, who have enjoyed the trailer. And everybody is expressing their excitement for the film. Other than that, John Abraham and Nikhil Advani, too, are being applauded for taking upon a story that revolves around India’s one of the most controversial cases. The list includes Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, and Milap Zaveri among others.

The movie is directed by Nikkhil Advani and penned by Ritesh Shah. Bhushan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Sandeep Leyzell are the producers of the film. Batla House scheduled to release this Independence Day on August 15, 2019. Batla House will clash with Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal and Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho at the box-office.
