India takes on the Sui Dhaaga Challenge

With the release date of Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan’s movie ‘Sui Dhaaga’ nearing theatres, a new trendy challenge has been initiated by the team to make the public even more aware of the hype about the film. Anushka and Varun started the ‘sui Dhaaga challenge’ nominating celebrity friends to take it up just like the ALS Ice Bucket challenge or the In My Feelings “Kiki” challenge wherein the person taking up the challenge has to put a threat through a needle. Seems easy? There’s more to it; it being that this entire shenanigan must be performed within ten seconds!
They initially nominated Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan for this challenge, which resulted in hilarious responses from both the actors where Akshay amazingly failed to thread the needle and Shah Rukh nailed it by using a beastly huge needle and rope like thread as a sarcastic joke. Many other celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Aditya Roy Kapur also joined in on the fun fiasco. Other A-listers like Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have also been nominated to take up the challenge.
This challenge has not only attracted the Bolly-town residents but also commoners who’ve very enthusiastically taken up this task to perfect it within seconds. While many have skillfully succeeded, few have chucklesome-ly failed and had a good laugh out of it. The movement of this challenge has greatly affected the promotions for the movie Sui Dhaaga and people are now anticipating it more than ever.
Sui Dhaaga is an upcoming comedy-drama film under the banner of Yash Raj Films and is directed by Sharat Kataria. The plot of the movie revolves around the importance of the Make in India campaign and aims at promoting the country’s indigenous textile industries. On another interesting note Varun Dhawan’s character is based off of the popular children’s magazine Tinkle’s character ‘Suppandi’.
The movie releases on the 28th of September 2018 and is expected to bring in good responses judging by the promotional ventures. We hope it does wonders on its release!
