Yes, you heard that right! The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sunil Kumar Modi announced the news on Monday that the entertainment tax has been removed from the movie tickets. The action has been taken so that more people can reach to the cinemas to watch the film. It is because the main character of the film, Anand Kumar is from Bihar and his Institute is also Bihar based.
The mathematician was a tutor in a top institute in Bihar. Later, he decided to open an institute of his own and teach 30 meritorious underprivileged children for free every year. His non-profit coaching center offered food as well as accommodation. Anand started the ‘Super 30’ project back in the year 2002. And the movie is based on the same and is directed by Vikas Bahl.
Anand Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, both took to his Twitter handles respectively to thank the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Modi of the state.

About the film:
The film celebrates the success of Anand Kumar in his ‘Super 30’ program. He is such an amazing teacher with brilliant students that in his first ‘Super 30’ batch, 18 students out of 30 qualified the IIT entrance exam. Next year, as the program got popular, the applications to enroll for the program increased. In order to that, he conducted an entrance exam to select the 30 students. And in 2004, 22 students out of 30 cracked the IIT-JEE exam.
The Super 30 got into fame when all the 30 students qualified for the exam and proved to be Anand’s students in 2010. It not just grabbed the attention from Indian media, but from the foreign media as well. 18 of his students made it to the IIT this year.
While most of the stories from Bihar are of violence, robbery, theft, and fraud, this movie is all about the good from the state. It is about the brilliance of a man who gave up his job in a top-ranked institute just to teach the underprivileged students for free. However, the film is getting mixed reviews from the audience and critics too.
