Gurmukhi da Beta is the first song from the album ‘Seven Rivers’ which has been released. And this song is dedicated to the river Sutlej. The album will be having seven songs dedicated to the seven rivers of Northern India. And the first song has been released on International Music Day.
We’ve always listened to his soulful songs before but he has justified them all by this song. Sartaaj has appreciated the script of Punjabi ‘Gurmukhi’ and called himself the son of Gurmukhi in the song. He has delivered all his thoughts about how he become ’Shayar’ and how everyone is using these words from our Punjabi language. He has used a very justified line in which he said ‘Mai Gurmukhi Da Beta, Mainu Tor de ne Akhar’.
Talking about the album, the album will consist of seven songs representing one river each Gurmukhi Da Beta(Sutlej), Pyar De Mareez(Chanab), Twajo(Sindh), Hamayat(Beas), Baki Jiven Kahoge(Jhelum), Dehleez(Ghaggar), Matwaliye(Raavi).
