Gossipgiri Exclusive: ‘Ik Si Sandhu’ will mark Neha Sharma’s Punjabi film debut with Gippy Grewal

After giving superhit Punjabi film Ardaas Karaan, Gippy Grewal is all set for his next projects. His recent project that just went on floors is titled “Ik Si Sandhu”. The film stars Gippy Grewal and Bollywood diva Neha Sharma in lead roles. The film is directed by renowned director Rakesh Mehta and under the banner of Golden Bridge Films & Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
According to our sources, we will also see Babbal Rai, Anmol Kwatra and Raghveer Boli in pivotal roles in the film ‘Ik Si Sandhu’. Furthermore, Babbal Rai who played a tremendous role in Ardaas Karaan will now be seen in a full student mode. Yes! Babbal Rai is playing the role of a student in this film.

It’s a very busy year for Gippy Grewal as Gippy is also set with his next film ‘Daaka’ and has started the shoot of it. Recently, he shared the first look from ‘Daaka‘, in which he looks very fierce in a dacoit avatar. Daaka will release on 1st November this year.

Talking about lead actress, Neha Sharma is all set to make her Punjabi debut with this film. We have seen her in various Hindi films before and she was highly appreciated in the semi-hit ‘Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum‘. She is also known for her work in movies like Crook, Youngistaan and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. Other than this, the actress has also done many Tamil, Malayalam and Telegu films. People loved her in Bollywood. Now it will be interesting to watch her making a mark with her presence in the Punjabi film industry too.
Furthermore, this film is under the direction of Rakesh Mehta who has lastly given us Yuvraj Hans, Gagan Kokri, Raghveer Boli & Monica Gill starrer film ‘Yaara Ve’ and currently, he is working on his first Bollywood project with one of the best action directors Sham Kaushal and it is assumed that this film will feature Sanjay Dutt in the main role. Yaara Ve was produced by Bally Singh Kakar and now this Gippy & Neha Sharma starrer film will also be produced by the same.
At last, the release date of the film is not announced. But as soon as we get any further updates on this, we will share it with you.
