Esha Gupta and Anupam Kher‘s latest film ‘One Day: Justice served‘ has just got released. Esha is seen in the role of a ruthless crime branch officer. The movie stars Anupam Kher who’s playing the role of a retired judge. And to celebrate the release of her recent film, she went to a restaurant with her friends. The enjoyment, however, turned into a major discomfort for her.
The incident took place in Dear Donna, a restaurant in Delhi where she was having dinner with her friends. A man sitting on the opposite table was constantly staring at her making her extremely uncomfortable. She claims that the hotelier, named Rohit Vig was staring her in such a disgusting way that she had to call her bouncers. The bouncers warned him thrice and when he still didn’t stop staring, he was asked to leave. After that, the bouncers had to cover her up so that she can have her meal peacefully. She did not fear to expose him and for this bold move, she took to her Twitter and Instagram handle to share the incident.
She shared a picture of him with an explanation on Twitter:

Also, Esha took to her Instagram stories to expose the hotelier. She captured the man on camera and shared the stories of the same. She has raised a voice against weird staring. Also, in reply to all the people who were blaming her that she is a celebrity and she has to face this situation, she wrote:
“It’s not about being a celeb. What a normal girl has to go through? How can a man be above the law. I was having dinner. He came much later n took the table opp us. Why is it ok for men to think it’s okay”
Here’s how she Exposed his face right in front of the public.
She raised her voice on how some men find it super easy to stare women and just rape them through their eyes. In one of her tweets, she mentioned
“If a woman like me can feel violated and unsafe in the county, then idk what girls around feel. Even with two securities around I felt getting raped.. #RohitVig you’re a swine.. he deserves to rot”.
Also, in her Instagram stories, she also asked if anyone knew who he was. And people were very quick to reach out to her to support her and to reveal the identity of that man.
This is how people responded to her stories:
And it is obvious when a woman stands for her rights, there are people pushing her backward. Little do they know that this isn’t the 19th century. Esha Gupta also shared some messages that she received from people who blamed her for not wearing proper clothes that covered her entire body and that she’s a star. In respect to that, Esha stated that there were people who came to her and asked for pictures with her nicely. And of course, there’s a difference between staring and looking at someone you admire.
Esha Gupta introduced a hashtag for the men who stand by women called #heforshe. She pleads her followers to stand by the security of women and speak up for themselves. Women don’t deserve to be judged and raped in any way, may it be physical or through someone’s eyes. So future rapists, please mind your eyeballs!
Before this incident, the #metoo movement exposed many people including actors and businessmen who molested women in any way. Other than Esha Gupta, actresses like Tanushree Dutta, Kangana Ranaut, Konkana Sen Sharma, and Radhika Apte have also raised there voice during the Me too movement.
