Over yesterday and today, in Italy, at Lake Como is happening the most awaited wedding of Bollywood’s favourite superstars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
The two who had previously been dating for the last six years decided to share the news of their getting married to each other on social media on October 21, with posts on both their Instagram handles.
The affair is being kept very private and only thirty guests have been invited for the ceremony. Such is the tightness of the guest list that from Bollywood, only Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Kapoor made it to that.
The rest of the guests were only immediate family and close friends. The couple wanted privacy to such an extent that cell phones were not at all allowed at the venue and ceremony.
As per reports, Anil Kapoor and Govinda‘s songs were played at the venue. Songs like My Name Is Lakhan, Meri Pant Bhi Sexy and Ek Hai Anaar Yahaan were heard being played in the background at Lake Como, Italy. It is also being reported that singer Harshdeep Kaur performed at the wedding and the venue was beautifully decorated for the Anand Karaj ceremony.
That being said though there was nothing that could stop paparazzi from getting their sneak ins; not great shots, but hidden clicks enough to recognise who was who.
Here is insight from the first day, take a look!

The first day included a Konkani ritual wedding and the second day had a North Indian ritual wedding (anand karaj) conforming to both Deepika and Ranveer’s nativities.
Many celebrities including Karan Johar, Nimrat Kaur and Riteish Deshmukh also congratulated the couple on their marriage.

The couple shared photographs from both days on the evening of 15th November, but much to the disheartenment of their fans, they only shared two photographs on both their social media handles. Though undoubtedly, both man and wife look as flawless and angelic as possible and India is losing it’s head over the want of more images to quench this thirst of theirs.
It is said that the groom, our very own prankster and rowdy Ranveer Singh made a grand and very entertaining entry. According to reports, the actor was leading his own Baraat while dancing to some of all our favourite 90’s hits. My Name Is Lakhan, Chunari Chunari, Tamma Tamma. He also danced to some of his own songs like Tune Maari Entriyan, Tattad Tattad, and Galla Goodiyan and made the perfect Bollywood entry to this grand wedding.
He also managed to make our sweetheart Deepika cry while proposing to her during their ring ceremony. quite the gentleman Ranveer is when he really gets down for it.
According to a report in the leading daily, Mid-Day, every little detail was planned and taken care of, even an Indian priest from Amritsar was present to officiate the wedding. The couple wanted to ensure they follow all the traditions and made arrangements for a temporary Gurudwara to be created inside the villa itself. The venue was decorated with stunning red roses which matched the bride and groom’s outfits too!
We wish the couple a very happy and prosperous married life!
