Nooran sisters belong to a musical family. Their dad, Ustad Gulshan is a composer and grandmother Bibi Nooran was a folk Punjabi singer. The sisters started singing at a very early age and were trained by their father for 10 years in Sufi music. There are seven members in the family, including siblings. When Nooran sisters grandmother died, their father used to give music lessons to support the family. Their Grandmother Bibi Nooran was a well-known singer of her time. Sultan and Jyoti’s father noticed their talent while they were still toddlers.
Nooran sisters are a Sufi singing duo. Initially, the sisters were not sure if the Sufi music is going to give them a bright future. As Sufi music need more understanding of the vocals. But after giving their live performance in Canada it changed their perception. The sisters did their first song in Bollywood with Rahman and consider that experience as “masti, mithaas and shaitaani”. They are very grateful to Sneha(music director) for her great contribution to their success.

Nooran sisters belong from a small town in Jalandhar. After, their grandmother’s death the family lived in a poor condition. Their dad used to give music lessons to survive. It was only when their father discovered both the sister’s talent, he trained them for ten years in Sufi music. Nooran sisters were first recognized by Sneha Khanwalker when she was in a search of unknown voices all over India. After the recognition, both the sister have sung for many Bollywood songs and will continue to sing in the future.
