The Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer movie ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu released in theatres worldwide today on the 21st of September 2018. The movie is an Indian drama film directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Bhushan Singh.
The movie addresses the social issue of faulty meter boxes and how due to failures in their systems there is often false inflation in the amounting bills that are to be paid and the sufferers usually have nowhere to go resulting in drastic decisions taken by the them.
The plot revolves around three childhood friends S.K. (Shahid Kapoor), Nauti (Shraddha Kapoor) and Tripathi (Divyendu Sharma), S.K. is a hypocritical lawyer who is mean and minting notes out of court settlements, Nauti an overblown fashion designer with an extraordinary judgment of herself and Tripathi the owner of a brand new printing press set up in hopes of making a better living.

His following ability or inability to sue the firm further decides the course of the film.
The movie has been rated an 8.3 out of 10 by IMDB and runs for a total of 2 hours and 41 minutes. This venture has been told to be a novel initiative with a decent plot-line which though, is stretched a bit too long. The film has gotten mixed reviews from both critics and the public, some highly satisfied with the flick and few disgruntled. The collections for the first weekend are expected to be good if not extravagant and it seems that they just might be able to achieve that.
