Parmish Verma is a name that echoes in the heart of every Pollywood fan. This man is the superstar of Punjabi Industry, a super-talented actor, director, and singer. He has always been able to make us admire his skills. Whether it is through his acting or his voice- he leaves us contemplating. He has made us groove on his songs like “Chal Oye” and has left us spellbound with his work in movies like “Dil Diyaan Gallan”.
But we all know, his journey to become this big a star wasn’t that easy. And this life full of struggle that he lead, inspires all of us to the core.
Today on his birthday, we present you 5 inspirations we get from Parmish Verma and his journey:
1. He knew his strengths
We already know through his interviews that he used to be an average in his studies during his school years. He suffered from ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and couldn’t focus. But since childhood itself, he was active in theatres. His father was a well known Punjabi writer, poet and a theatre artist. He used to admire his works, and from an observer he soon became a seeker. His father gauged in him interest in acting and started working on him. He also joined theatre group in his school when he was in class four. This helped him hone his acting skills. He did theatre for 10 years before making his acting debut in the industry.
2. His hardwork in Sydney
Back in Sydney, Australia, he used to wash utensils 18 hours a day in a club. But at that time, he says, he knew in his heart that it wasn’t his destiny. He would save money and during weekends he would go and watch back-to-back movies.
3. His dedication for gymming
During the time Parmish was in Australia, he also worked as a traner in a gym. Such was his dedication towards maintaining his physique and building his body that he got a job as a trainer in the gym where he used to work-out. His well-built body is a proof of his dedication for gymming.
4. Passion for dreams
Parmish Verma had made a good life for himself in Sydney and was earning well. But while he was settled well in Australia, his father reminded him of his passion for acting and direction. It’s very hard for any normal person to leave everything he has earned so far and begin everything from the very start. But it was for his passion and he as well as his father, they both believed that he would be able to achieve his dream. He came back to India to chase his dreams and got a fine success in both acting and direction.
5. Positive outlook towards life
His interviews and his life story, everything narrates for itself his positive outlook towards life. He isn’t an overnight success. But he has given his 11 years of persistent hardwork and dedication to achieve what he has achieved today. He once in a TED talk said, “When you learn to be there for yourself, you’ll never be alone.”
He also once said, “Motivation gets you started but habits keep you going. Get used to working hard. The opportunity is knocking at your door while the succes is waiting for you to walk that extra mile. So get up and get started!”
Listening to him surely feed our souls with motivation.
