Singers turning actors is not a new thing in the Punjabi Entertainment industry. It is a very common phenomenon these days. There are numerous artists in the industry who have started acting after gaining immense popularity in the field of singing. Now there is another artist who is set to make his debut in the field of acting. Who doesn’t remember the small cute singer who sung ‘Khaab’? Well, we all do! Being one of the best songs, Khaab gave limelight to this very talented young singer of Punjabi Music Industry Akhil.
Akhil who is known for songs like Gaani, Teri Kami, Karde Haan, Teri Khaamiyan, Beautiful and many more is now a big name. And now after enthralling the audience with his soulful voice, the young singer is all set to enter the filmy world.

Akhil is all set to make his debut in an unnamed film. Now, you will be wondering who is the leading lady of this unnamed film. Well, she is none other than our Laiye Je Yarrian and Munda Hi Chahida star Rubina Bajwa!
According to our sources, the film is a romantic comedy and the title of the film is yet not decided. The film will most likely be announced on 13 July. For now, no further details have been revealed.
This year we saw many fresh on-screen pairs in Punjabi Films. Be it Gurnam Bhullar with Sonam Bajwa in Guddiyan Patole, Gippy Grewal with Sargun Mehta in Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh, Harish Verma with Rubina Bajwa in Laiye Je Yaarian, Ammy Virk with Sonam Bajwa in Muklawa, all created a buzz and gave us some very beautiful films. And now, Akhil is paired with Rubina Bajwa which is yet another fresh on-screen jodi.
What will this on-screen couple bring out for us in another romantic film? Well, for this we all have to wait for a little. But we wish Akhil for his new venture and hope his Film career is as successful as his music career.
