Roshan Prince has recently made a comeback in the film “Munda Faridkotia” alongside Sharan Kaur, who has made her debut in the Punjabi film industry. Navpreet Banga is also in the main roles. The film was released on June 14 and the movie doesn’t seem to have hit the audience’s heart and mind. The reviews seem to be ambiguous for now as some audience came out of the theatres with quite content faces and some of them didn’t like the story at all. Let’s have a look at its plot and review.
The star cast of Munda Faridotia
Playing the lead characters Roshan Prince, and Sharan Kaur said the movie was based on a satirical comedy plot. Here’s the Trailer of the movie:
The movie, produced under the banner of ‘Dalmora Films’, shows how the lead character struggles to survive when he accidentally lands into Pakistan’s territory. Born and raised in Faridkot, Farid Singh Brar(Roshan Prince) loves his homeland and spends his time between farming and hanging out with his best friend Maddi. Farid’s mother is frustrated by his aimless lifestyle and gives him an ultimatum to emigrate to Canada. A disheartened Farid prays at the dargah to grant him one wish; to somehow let him remain in Faridkot. The next morning he wakes up to find his wish granted. The only problem is that the Faridkot he ended up in is a village in Pakistan! What follows forms up the crux of the comedy Munda Faridkotia.
Review of the movie:
Well, there is a mixed review by the audience. Some of them found the movie very well plotted and with enough laughter scenes. The movie is also packed with peppy music and comic dialogues. B.N. Sharma, Karamjit Anmol have as always outplayed their sarcastic role. It’s a good watch. Although a promotional post uploaded by Roshan on his Instagram also saw a few bad reviews:
Will this movie be able to garner more likes? Or will it be a disappointing one? Well, you should definitely check out this movie at your nearest cinema!
Gossipgiri rates the movie 3 stars out of 5.
